This student uses art as a creative means to expand her argument, which originated in a class blog post for her first-year composition class. According to the artist, “In my blog post, I focused on Christianity and the LGBTQ community and how some Christians support the LGBTQ community but others do not. The reason why I made this art piece is because even though I focused on Christianity in my blog, I feel like every religion should accept and support people in the LGBTQ community to show equality.” Through a drawing, which is powerful on its own merits, the artist adds a multimodal dimension to her written argument.
